Coca speaks a lot by now, he can express whatever he wants, I wouldn't say very clearly but he definitely can!  He can say most of the simple words by now. Mumma, papa, tata were the first few he mastered, in that order. Now goes ahead with

Obsession

Both my kids have (had ) an obsession about a certain thing in early years.

For shanu, it was always "hamma" everywhere. She would ask for hamma throughout the day. If we were lucky, we would get to see it during the day else we would go on a "hamma" round in the evening once rj would be back fron work.

For aada, it's "bhur". The whole day he just wants to go bhur, bhur and bhur. Unfortunately, the weather here is not favourable enough to out so we literally have to spend the whole day inside the airconditioned house. (In winter, there will be some respite though) Then once rj is back, he takes Aadit for a round in car to a nearby mall/garden or anywhere 'bhur' 😀

Dust bin

Three days ago, I showed Aadit how to throw a used diaper in the dustbin.
Now as soon as I take a new diaper from the packet, Aadit takes it and throws in the bin 😆

Office Office

Time :8.00am
Scene - rj getting ready and about to step out of house to leave for work.

1 yo is continuously following him as he wants (every single day!!) to go out with his father too. 6 yo, who didn't go to school today observes this, calls 1 yo and talks to him ,"aada...tula pappa office madhye nako jayla ka?" (Thats what the 6 yo wanted during the transition from 1 yo to 4,5 yo)
1 yo gives attention to 6 yo as if something very important is being said for him.
Pleased, 6 yo continues, " Office madhye pappa cha boss asto. Pappa office madhye gela tarach to tyala paise deto. Mag aaplyala dukanat jaun tech paise deun kahi pan vikat gheta yeta....mhanun pappa la office la jaylach lagel". 1 yo now looks blank, wondering if chose wrong person to listen to,  runs towards his father saying "bhur, bhur...bhooooor". 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I could imagine a boss giving money to employee s at eod 😁 This was the narrative given to 6 yo when she was small and wouldn't let her father go to work 😀 How time flies 😊

Kids kids kids

My biggest projects are my kids !! Yup, I was a full time, financially independent, careerist woman, who has given up her full time career (& with that financial freedom to a great extent off course! ) to bring up my two little munchkins ! & I love it 😊
No regrets whatsoever on leaving a full time career, miss my salary dearly though 😉

I don't give a damn about what others think, to me my kids are the most important projects in my life. I have sacrificed my big chunk of regular income for that, I have sacrificed my good night's sleep for that (2 years of no sleep at shanaya's time, Sleepless nights started with Aadit right from pregnancy, going on the 3rd year of no sleep day or night! Good question - Ask rjagtap how many years of no sleep for him?? After all he's the father! )
I have sacrificed my freedom for that and managed with life changing to 200 degrees!!

Love this amazingly curious pair of brilliant babies & super proud ( my genes, they ought to be brilliant 😀)

Ramayan Ramayan 😀

Shanaya asked aadit if he would like to hear a story, aadit said “hmm” So the older one(out of the two offcourse!) picked up Ramayana book and started “This is a story from olden days, hi khup juni goshta aahe aada. Tevha tu zala navhata, me pan navhate. Mumma pappa pan navhate...umm ......Nahi mumma pappa zale hote pan te khup chhote hote” 😆😆😆

Today at the mall, rj asked me if I would like to have an ice cream too, with Shanaya. I said no. Dd who was walking a few steps ahead comes to me and asks "mumma tula ice cream pahije"? I said "mala nakoga". She replied "mag maza share karnar ka?" Wow!! It just melted my heart to hear that Dd was asking me to share her ice cream....Ice cream of all the things! I said "Ok beta, chalel".
She says "mag tu ghe na ek".
Turns out she didn't want to share hers and was asking me to buy one of my own if I want to eat it 😆😆

Motherhood ...phew!

45 minutes!! Yes thats the exact time I held the jumping, squirming, laughing, biting, playing, shouting, crying Aadit, who tried everything possible to get out of my hands!!
Boy!!! So tired !!
The thing is now that shanaya's vacation has started, the kids are playing untill late and then getting up very late in the morning. Since Aadit is getting up so late, I had to cut down on his second nap because otherwise he was sleeping past 11.30pm. However, my little is noy going well with just one nap. While feeding him around 11.15am he had slept on my lap but woke up as soon as I moved him away. Then I tried to put him to sleep for about 20 min but he didn't. I let him play for an hour , showed tv for some 15 min while I cooked for the kids. Then lunch,  again play for a while again (to release that bout of energy they get right after eating 😬) Finally after a few trips to the bedroom i.e.me taking them inside and them running around and outside 🤤
& I picked Aadit up, put his usual sleep song and started walking in the room. I had sent Shanaya outside to read aome stuff and this guy wanted to go out too behind her. I knew he was super tired, I mean imagine a 1 year old woken up at 7.30 am and no nap till 2 pm. Soooo while I was desparately trying to put my little man to sleep, the little man was desperately trying to get out of his mother's hands🤑 He tried every, yes every possible trick, like trying to bite me (lightly) , )playing with me, giving his cute smiles a dozenful of times, even tickling me but his mom was determined not to give up 😜 he jumped out of my hand like a 100 times in a span of 35 ,40 min. I was trying my best to not stop walking around the room, to put the little guy to sleep however nothing was working. He would hang on to my hands with his head down, talk , shout and express his displeasure at being held.
At the end of 45 min.,having finished two extended versions of 'snowflake' , I was at my wits end literally ready to pull my hair out 😠😠🤦 Luckily at the same time the construction work in the basement started and Aadit heard that noise. Guess someone was using hammer to break something and that sounded like somebody knocking loudly on the bedroom window (source of sound being right under that) I said " Aadit te bagh bhongyabhau aala tu zopat nahiye mhanun, dyaycha ka tula"
& Thats what did the trick!! Aadit immediately put his head on my shoulder!! & Slept within 5 min.!!!
Phew!!! Motherhood is a real struggle!!!!!

The Golden Silence!!

Shanaya had her 2nd term final assessments last week, for which she had to work hard. After that the weekend followed and it was good, she had fun but only for 1 day. Inspite that, on Sunday, she didn’t get up in the morning (Yeah ... tried all possible measures) and missed school. Luckily, when she’s home Aadi follows her most time and the two play with each other, based upon what Shanaya wants to do. I mean she gets bored of playing with him many a times and starts something of her own and then poor Aadit calls me out for his help.

Yesterday, ie. On Sunday they both were playing together and Shanaya was making Aadit follow her. I thought I should utilize the time by cooking something quickly and started with that. After 5 minutes I realised that the house was too quiet. I called out Shanayaadit both, no one responded. I checked in front room, no one was there. Checked in one of the bedrooms and saw Shanaya reading a book quietly. I asked her where is Aadit? She said she doesn’t know. I got a little angry saying saying what do you mean you don’t know? I asked you to play with him for 5 minutes and tell me if you are going to do something else. While talking also I was searching for Aadit.

Then I stopped by at the bathroom and got even more wild while picking him and putting him in the tub. He was standing touching the commode pot and splashing the water inside with both hands 😬😬😬😬😀😀😂😆

Gave him a full bath before getting him out of bathroom😁

First tooth :)

Aadi is turning 10 months on this 7th. Am proud as always :D  Lol...but thats me 🤣 having unconditional pride for both of my kids 😁

So yesterday late night I sat with mobile checking baby's teething schedule and worrying why aadi hasn't gotten his first so far...and boom...there it is today 😊 Yeah, my lo got (erupted) his first tooth 😙 its upper left one 😙 Love you my boy, you are the best, my cute little button😙😙😙😙

Shanadi

Its been almost a year !! I was super busy first with pregnancy and later with my two munchkins !! Boy...what a long time it feels now :) din't realise how it went by...
Aadi is almost 9 months and Shana 5.4...and they keep me on my toes 😉 Yet, given an option..I wouldn't change an iota about it !! Absolutely love my chipmunks 😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘
