Shanu is very good at languages & is poetic too. She uses metaphor so easily that she can give run to even a seasoned poet. Just to quote a few of her metaphors. Eg1. She learnt peeling (rather separating the cloves from each other) off garlic by the age of 15 months since I would give her one in hand wgile I wud work in kitchen. She calls it lasun in marathi. One fine day while being out for a walk, she pointed at crescent moon and asked me "mumma he kay? " I said "chandra" she smiled & said "no, ha lasun ahe" . :) :) The similar shapes gave her this idea. At that time she was around 18 months.
Eg.2 : we have some squares on the ceiling, one afternoon shanaya asked me again "mumma he kay?" I explained it to her rather in a lengthy way. She stopped me and said "no, they are biscuits!!!" That was at 20 months :)
Eg.3 : I have a mole on my lower neck in front which she often plays with. One day while playing pat came a question again "mumma he kay?" I said its a mole (mus in marathi) My little poet says " no! Its a kishmish" laughing loudly :) :) :)
